Chisinau - the Capital of Moldova

Chisinau, the capital city of Republic of Moldova, has a population of 800.000 people, including all suburbs. The city is widespread on seven hills, just like the city of Rome, Istanbul, San Francisco, Iasi.

Chisinau was severely bombarded during WWII and it was rebuilt by the soviet authorities in the coming years. First mentioned in documents in 1436, the city was mainly developed during Russian times, when Moldova was under Russian rule starting from 1812 to 1918 when it became part of the Great Romania.

The city’s unique history makes one feel welcome so tourists will enjoy the best views!
